"Dandelion Tea" is about questioning beliefs, rejecting certainty, and waking up to the deception that certain corporations manufacture, seemingly in the interest of profit and at the expense of public wellness.
Lyrics
Well some prefer coffee and some prefer tea
A certain some might drink for free
Could certain tea water idiocracy?
Well I don’t know, I’m not sure
And if I was, would you trust my words?
‘Cause certain tea might water idiocracy
What is there for me to do
But slow my role and seek what’s true?
I do my best to feel what’s right
Could not be my, but how I shine my light
Uncertainly on shallow, stormy seas
And I do my best not to lose my head
Or cockily BP soul-dredge
Since certain seas must calm before they’re reached
What is there for me to do
But do my best to feel renewed?
What is left for me to do
Besides be loud about what’s true?
Well I heard somewhere that the dudes at Bayer
Round-up and kill what Mom put there
For us to drink in uncertain tea
And I’ve also heard one certain word
Was a metaphor that’s gotten literaller
Curiosity could damn idiocracy
What is there for us to do
But question all we thought we knew
Nothing left for some to do
But wonder why when thoughts seem true
